At last, a large double buggy that can accomodate two disabled children who have outgrown all other pushchairs! Our popular Axiom Endeavour special needs buggies are now available as a Double Buggy with an innovative design that takes two single pushchairs and ‘locks’ them together making a large double pushchair which then ‘releases’ to become two single pushchairs again. So you have one pushchair if you’re on your own and when you have a helping hand, simply unlock them and you have two individual pushchairs…what an great idea!
The Axiom Endeavour is suitable for larger, taller and heavier children aged 5 upwards, although it is typically used for disabled children over 7 years old up to around 16-18 years old depending on their size and disabilities. Each pushchair can be individually customised if required e.g. seat back height, footplate fitted higher, special harnesses etc. or you can use the standard sized seats. There are also a range of optional accessories available, including a rain cover, postural supports, sun/bug protection, sheepskin liners, safety lights etc. Average lead time to build a double is 60-90 days depending on level of customisation. Please call us on our Helpline 01670 458624 to discuss your requirements and if you would like to apply for charity funding.
Axiom mobility equipment for disabled children and adults is an exceptionally designed series of paediatric special needs indoor/outdoor all-terrain buggies for disabled children and adults that are capable of so much more than an average special needs pushchair. The Axiom Endeavour combines the off-road ability of a multi-terrain stroller, the lean agility of an urban jogger, and the comfort, support and positioning needs for both children and adults with mild to moderate physical disabilities.
The Axiom Endeavour Size 2.0 special needs pushchair has a weight capacity of 75kg (approx. 12 stone) and passenger height of 160cm. Also available in 2 larger sizes: Axiom 3 and 4 by special request. The Axiom 2.0 are LARGE pushchairs which requires a very good boot size if to be transported by car.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR FUNDING?
We would encourage you to call our helpline and discuss your specific requirements with an experienced advisor. We can help you understand what you will need to do to secure funding and can provide you with a step-by-step guide on the process. We can recommend a charity and supply the Charity Application Form or if you just need a quotation then we will prepare this for you. We have helped hundreds of families secure charitable funding for their pushchair even when they have been turned down by other charities or have been unable to get equipment through the NHS. We’re here to help you, so please give us a call today.
Typically, these pushchairs have been funded by charities for disabled children with non-postural needs where the children were too large for any other pushchair or where there were two disabled children to transport together e.g. amongst our clients for these pushchairs, we have been able to help secure funding for Axiom Endeavour custom double buggies for two autistic children aged 6 & 8 years and another family with two disabled children aged 5 and 8 years old with Hypermobility, low muscle tone and Dispraxia. On the single version, we have helped secure funding for many families, for instance an 8 year old girl with Downs Syndrome who required 24hr parental assistance and an all-terrain pushchair as she lived in a rural area of Northern Ireland.
The custom double is an expensive option, however it is sometimes the ONLY option that caters for a family’s needs. It provides a long-lasting and flexible solution as you have two single pushchairs when you have help on hand and one double when there is only one parent/carer available.
